Sick Note

Hello, dear readers!

This will be a quick one.

I know. I’ve said that before.
What's Mine Is Yours
The truth of the matter, however is that I’m not all that well at the moment, having succumbed to some unknown bug which, being the good husband I am, I’m sharing 50/50 with my lovely wife, Tina.

There is , of course, the possibility that whatever it is draining all of my energy and replacing it with full-body dull ache, could be Covid. The headaches, sore throat, and dizzy spells are somewhat reminiscent. Contracting that particular virus three times in one year would, however, seem like overkill.

Thus far we haven’t tested, nor do we intend to. The protocols have been followed and ever since Monday we’ve both been isolating. Covid may not be the news story it once was, it may not be quite as deadly, but I still wouldn’t want anyone else to feel like this even if it’s only (only!) the flu, or a bad cold and a case of melodrama.

Not Long
So, yeah, short and sweet if the order of the day. Sorry there’s not more substance to today’s offering. Just feel thankful I’ve managed actual words, and that some of them are in the right order, because if the men with the pneumatic drills who appear to have taken up residence in my skull had their way, that may not have been the case.

Hopefully, next week will see a return to normality, or as close to it as I get, until then I’m going to make a cup of tea, watch some House (I’m in the middle of a full rewatch to go alongside our joint Buffyverse rewatch), and then collapse into a small, pitiful heap of exhaustion.

Until next time.
