House And Home

Hello Dear Readers!

This week! ah, this week! Seven days; days that have left your friendly neighbourhood seated person a terrified, happy, excited, joyous mess of a man and no, it’s not just because my wheelchair is once again on three wheels (see Thee Wheels On My Wagon for details of that ongoing saga!) .If I tell you that this lucky dip of emotions follows conversations with three estate agents and the viewing of no less than four different properties then, well you may just guess the rest.

That’s right. Tina and I have bought a house!

Hi-de-Hi? Hi-de-NO!

Hello Dear Readers!

I have had a holiday, and I'd like to take it up professionally.
Kylie Minogue

A quote from the infinitely perfect Ms Minogue; not a bad way to start a post, eh? Yes pictures might be better but as this is an epistolic venture and I don’t want to get too distracted I think it will probably suffice.

As the above quote hints at, the subject for this week’s offering is holidays and in particular the trip to sunny Somerset recently undertaken by the Seated Perspective clan.

Exciting times are upon as at Seated Perspective HQ. The previous week has been busy, slightly stressful and potentially… life changing.

Allow me to elucidate.

Picture Perfect

“Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure.”
Tony Benn

Hello Dear Readers!

Well, hasn’t it turned out nice? It has in Sunny West Yorkshire anyway. A beautiful day, warm and clear with a lovely light breeze that has made taking the dog for her walk a genuine pleasure.  A walk? You ask, aren’t you transportationally embarrassed at the moment? (See Three Wheels On My Wagon for details.) Well here’s another reason for my somewhat chipper mood at the moment.  The missing wheel has actually been fixed. Yay! As it is now four days since its replacement, I’m hoping this particular repair stays the course too.

The adventure I have lined up for you today, however, well that goes back to my period of three-wheeling. As you can probably guess the theme for today is photography. Allow me to explain.

Three Wheels On My Wagon

Hello, Dear Readers!

Three wheels on my wagon,
And I’m still rolling along
The Cherokees are chasing me
Arrows fly, right on by
But I’m singing a happy song

I’m afraid that you join me at a time of great personal sadness, if not outright mourning. This week has seen a parting of the ways, you see. A loss which has truly knocked me off balance.  A dear friend, a staunch ally, a constant support that has helped carry me through the upheavals of the last year, and has been a welcome note of constancy in the journey along life’s road is, tragically, no longer with us.

I am of course talking about my wobbly wheel.
