Keep Your Chair On!

Hello Dear Readers!

If it's the right chair, it doesn't take too long to get comfortable in it. Robert De Niro

Are you sitting comfortably?  Then I’ll begin.

It has been quite an action packed and positive week at SP Towers. My beloved wife and I celebrated four years of blissful, if at times a little too eventful, married life  with not just a huge bucket of fried chicken but also a rather posh three course meal (on separate nights you understand. We’re not quite that greedy).  We’ve also had positive news about the house purchase with searches started and the last bit of mortgage paperwork safely in place.

All of which has inspired me to write about… A chair.

Thoughts & Prayers

Hello Dear Readers!

Two hands working can do more than a thousand clasped in prayer

Sunday morning’s sure have changed.

Once upon a time Sunday would start with a leisurely morning involving a snooze, a double fried egg sandwich and, if I was feeling extra extravagant, a second cup of coffee.

Recently though, this has changed. This idyllic routine has been interrupted, replaced by a new regime, one that entails rising early, eating a quick breakfast (one coffee at a maximum), and even, most terribly of all, getting  fully dressed and leaving the house (I do find it wise to do the former before the latter. It saves so many complaints.)

So what could possibly have caused this sudden change in behaviour, you ask? Well the answer is simple. You see, dear readers, for the last three weeks I have been trading in my egg sarnies for a visit to the local church hall.

Outside In

Hello Dear Readers!

Surprisingly, I think if you're known on the Internet, you're probably an introvert. Felicia Day

Well this is a dilly of a pickle.

Life continues apace at Seated Perspective Towers. Tina is making decent progress from her health issues (for those not in the loop see Different Strokes), although frustration is, perhaps naturally, still rearing its head every now and then. Work is working out well, and the house purchase, although halted for a couple of weeks, is plodding along nicely.

This has meant that for the first time in a couple of weeks I am bereft of instant inspiration for my offering to you, my dear readers. I have decided, therefore, that the time has come to turn the spotlight inwards and indulge in just a little introspection.

You’ll see what I mean.

Self Help

Hello Dear Readers!

Look after yourself. There is only one you, one Life. Make the most of it.

These are not easy times.

I’m sure that those of you with the dubious honour of being regular readers of these poor scribblings will understand why. For those that don’t know what the hell I’m talking about please see Different Strokes

The last week has continued to be trying for all sorts of reasons but it has had its positives too and it has even supplied both myself and Tina with opportunities for a little self-reflection.

Different Strokes

Hello Dear Readers!

I lay in the bed at the hospital and said, 'let's see what I have left.' And I could see, I could speak, I could think, I could read. I simply tabulated my blessings, and that gave me a start. Dale Evans

The observant amongst you may have noticed something missing from last week’s post. There were no pics or GIFs, no quotes or subtitles and, in fact… No actual words.

Yes, last week for the first time in a long, long time, Sunday came and went with no new post on the Seated Perspective blog. I can almost hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth from here.

Missing out on my weekly missive to the masses is most certainly not something I take lightly and in fact, there was a very real reason for this unprecedented blip.
