Right Hand Man

Hello, dear readers,

And happy budget day!

Yes, once again it’s that point in the year where we’re informed exactly how life is being designed to become more expensive for all but the lucky few who happen to have enough for it not to matter

And no, unless you’re a billionaire, I’m probably not talking about you or anyone you know.

For me, it seems the biggest change will be in fuel costs, which is nice considering my mileage just went up.

The Moving Finger

Hello, dear readers,

I guess one isn’t enough.

Because, once again, the subject of this week’s blog post is my super-duper-stormy-trooper of a wife Tina and her maladies.

Only this time, it’s physical.

The Other Half

Hello, dear readers,

To preface this week’s most humble of offerings, what I’m going to write about will be written with full consent of all parties involved and the full oversight of Tina, my editor-in-chief, wife, and woman for whom enough superlatives have not been invented.

Because this week it’s not about her, it’s about me.

Rain Stops Play

Hello, dear readers,

Winter is coming.

In fact, there’s an argument that winter is already here, and has been for some time.

The temperatures over the last couple of weeks have certainly taken a nosedive, and do we really need to talk about the dreaded rain? Well, unfortunately I think we do, and as this is my blog, that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

Sore Eyes

Hello, dear readers,

Sometimes it’s the little things in life that make the biggest differences.

Sometimes it’s the biggest.

And then, of course, sometimes, it’s the things you thought were small but it turns out were pretty darn big all along.

My new glasses come under that third category.

Under My Hat

Hello, dear readers,

So, as promised, after both of us feeling less than well over the past week or so, here are a few of my little musings on life as a short little lady, living with a slightly crazy husband creature.

Actually, tomorrow is a momentous day in my life, a day in which to celebrate and have fun, but a day of constant reminders that I am in fact getting quite old.

In my younger years, I remember clearly thinking that 30 was old. And now - as I approach my 51st year on earth, I have some thoughts to share.

For Sight

Hello, dear readers!

This week’s offering has taken a bit of thought and consideration.

For a long, long time it seemed as if there was nothing to write about. Exciting events which you can read about over the last few posts are well and truly behind me and the everyday routine has once again settled over the Rankin household. The normal. The ho-hum humdrum of ‘normal’ existence that leaves me bereft of subject matter.

So, it’s probably a good thing my age and disease riddled body is letting me down again.
